Overview

Between August and mid-October, Georgia’s 70 or so traditional vineyard owners will
harvest just over 500 acres of wine grapes. You have oportunity to take place in
grape harvest – Rtveli, where we ourselves will harvest grape and will learn to make
delicious Georgian wines. In the evening, a real Georgian feast with toasts and
homemade food awaits us.

    Arrival to Tbilisi, airport transfer, and accommodation. Dinner with Georgian Traditional kitchen and wine. Accompanied by rich Georgian folklore fiery dances and famous polyphonic songs Overnight Tbilisi

    The day will start with a review excursion in Tbilisi, a walking tour, passing through the old quarters and the center with its famous sulfur springs along the Mtkvari River. Visit the Metekhi Church, pass across the Metekhi bridge, the first bridge built to connect the Mtkvari River’s left and right banks, and stand in Sioni church. Walking up in the Botanical Garden. Drive to Mtskheta - the old capital of Georgia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You also explore the church Svetitskhoveli, a place where is saved robe of Jesus. Dinner and overnight in Tbilisi

    Breakfast in the hotel. Today you will get acquainted with the wine region of Georgia - Kakheti. You will be pleasantly surprised how historical sights here combine with grape valleys, how urban landscapes merge with rural ones. Start tour to "Vakirelebi House". Traditional Kakhetian family cuisine with panorama of the Alazani Valley and Caucasus Mountains. All cooked from eco-friendly natural farm ingredients. Participation in Rtveli - harvesting at family vineyards - where we ourselves will harvest grape and will learn to make delicious Georgian wines. In the evening, a real Georgian feast with toasts and homemade food awaits us. Culinary classes of churchkhela. Churchkhela, a threaded chain of nuts covered in a gooey layer of thickened grape juice, is without a doubt the most famous of all Georgian sweets. Lunch at "Vakirelebi House" After visit Bodbe Monastery. According to the legend it is built on the burial place of Saint Nino. Georgian kings were paying great attention to the Bodbe Monastery. It has been repaired and restored many times. Overnight in Kakheti

    We will have tour in Tsinandali museum which was Cultural center and the house- museum of the poet and public figure Al. Chavchavadze, wine tasting in the oldest enoteca. Continue to Napareuli. On the way we will visit Gremi, the architectural monument of the 16th century - the Royal Citadel and the Church of the Archangel in Kakheti. The next monument is the Nekresi monastery complex, which is one of the most important cultural centers of Georgia. Visit Twin Winery, in the village of Nafareuli. Tour in the winery, you will be able to see whole procedure of wine making from the harvest till fermentation of the wine. Dinner with Georgian Traditional cuisine. Overnight in Napareuli

    After breakfast with beautiful view, we will transfer back Tbilisi for departure.
